He Pooped!!!!
Lately Aiden yells, "Mama, Dada Poop" when he's in bed and he's pooped. In the last week he's been doing it and he hasn't pooped, but then we find that he's pooped when he's sound asleep. We thought he was trying to get us to get him out of bed. Then we figured out he was probably telling us that he has to poop. We've put him on the potty a few times, but nothing. Tonight I put him down for bed and he said, "Poop." I asked if he wanted to go on the potty and he said, "Potty." That kid pooped more poop than we've ever seen before in that little potty!! He did it!!! And I'm sure you're all thrilled that I shared this with you all...

My Talker
Aiden is really starting to prununciate his words/letters. As a matter of fact, daycare was surprised at how well he's saying his words since the last time she saw him on Thursday. He was labeling everything as, "Duh" but now he's saying the word (shoes, boots, hot dog, ketchup, all done).
Three different days in the last week he came to me with his thumb bent and in my face. His thumb is getting stuck. Does that mean he's going to be double-jointed? I have to push it so he goes straight. Needless to say, Steve is absolutely freaked out by it. Aiden actually gets a kick out of it and giggles. Strange little boy!

First Haircut
Aiden's First Haircut...they blow bubbles first!
Not sure about what's about to happen (but isn't he cute in that chair?)
Not looking too happy
Really not looking happy
Mommy trying to help the situation
Pushing the nice woman's hand away
Helping her comb his hair

The end result is cute, but we didn't capture.

The Easter Bunny got a haircut in the pool!
Last Friday Aiden started swimming lessons. As expected, he hated it. I think he was the only child who could talk and he was yelling, "Noooooo!" You know how the pool area echos? Now imagine me trying to blend in with all of the other moms who were with their happy 6-month old babies. Kinda hard to just blend in when you're in water. Nobody wanted to talk to us...not even the instructor! Aiden had a death-grip around my neck and his legs were wrapped around my waste. He warmed up when they started singing songs. I have to give him credit...he did stand out of the pool by himself and jumped in to me (with my help) and he did try the slide. I know it will get better. I couldn't believe these little babies who weren't holding on to mom and they were going underwater. The little babies don't have fear yet...just wait you mothers who were avoiding us! Your day will come!! All of the moms were showering their babies after class. Aiden and I got the heck out of there and took a bath when we got home. I even put my clothes on over my wet suit. Can you imagine what they all thought of us?
We had a family picture taken with the Easter Bunny on Tuesday. Not only was it Aiden's first picture with the bunny, but mine as well. As you know from previous blogs on the old site, I HATE things in costume. I took a deep breath and sat next to that creepy thing because Aiden wouldn't go by himself. Chalk one up for mom.
There wasn't a swimming class today because of Good Friday, so I thought we could torture Aiden another way...FIRST HAIRCUT!!! We found a place by Steve's office that is just for kids. It was a neat place. I think it's called Snip-It (in Brookfield). He didn't like it, but he did a good job. They blow bubbles and play movies when they're in the chair. We did the 1st haircut package, so we got his hair, a comb, a certificate, and he got his picture taken.
I'll post pics soon. Happy Easter!!

Aiden's March Madness
So we downloaded March's pics off of the camera today. Here's what we found (if you look closely, you can see the living room walls change colors - yes, we painted last weekend):
Making Snow-Aidens
Aiden loves Elmo
Helping Auntie Jodi blow out her candles

Betty Brinn Museum

Aiden and his buddy going down the slide

Working the computer

Mommy and Aiden playing bank
Found another slide!

Aiden and his buddy playing in the sand table

What a boy!
Daddy and Aiden sharing Bailey's-flavored ice cream on St. Patrick's Day while watching American Idol (Go Danny Gokey!)
Wow, the sugar-high that Aiden got after eating this!

Drinking out of the straw for the camera
Sticking out his tongue for the camera
"Cheese" for the camera
