Quick Update

Well, we've had a busy couple of weeks. Aiden got pretty sick a few weeks ago. Every time he coughed really hard he threw up (even at our table in the middle of a restaurant on a Saturday night...yikes). He threw up in his bed; one time he was in a dead sleep and we had to wake him up and throw him right into the bathtub. On top of that, he got pink eye. I caught it immediately, so it cleared up quickly.

We can't believe how much Aiden started talking this weekend! He's repeating words very well. Well, at least I can understand him! He's recognizing more letters and is interested in words/letters.

Aiden and I start swimming classes this Friday thru mid-June. Wish me luck!

1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

According to Aiden, everything with letters spells A-I-D-E-N. We had no idea that the word Samsung on our TV was really spelled A-I-D-E-N!

Today Aiden amazed us again. He counted to 10! Three times!

Holy Crap!

So you all saw the video below with Aiden repeating Steve to spell his name. Cute, hey? Well yesterday Aiden and I were driving home from "school" and Aiden kept saying, "Eeee." Then he said, "Mama? Eeee." I asked him if he wanted to spell his name and he said yes. Usually this means we say a letter and he repeats us. Yesterday he said, "A" and I repeated him with, "A." Then he said, "I" and I said, "I". He said, "D" and I said, "D." Aiden said, "E" and I repeated him and then he said, "N" and I almost drove off the road and hit a mailbox! HE SPELLED HIS FRICKIN' NAME BY HIMSELF!!!! I don't think anyone believed me until tonight. I was rocking him before bed and he did it again. I called Steve in and Aiden spelled his name again. Steve grabbed him out of my arms and hugged him in amazement! Spelling his own name at 19 1/2 months...wow.

Thank you to everyone who voted for Aiden in the Beautiful Baby Contest on milwaukeemoms.com. He won 3rd place and $50! There were 1200 contestants and he needed your votes to get into the Top 30 in order to be considered in the contest. He made the Top 30 and from there a panel of judges voted for the Top 3 Most Beautiful Babies!

We were grocery shopping last week and Steve wondered if anyone would recognize Aiden because of his stardom. It was a long-shot, but we're proud parents!
